Greenhouse gas emissions from businesses and homes arise primarily from fossil fuels burned for heat, the use of certain products that contain greenhouse gases, and the handling of waste. Excluded are: short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning), large-scale biomass burning (such as forest fires) and carbon emissions/removals of land-use, land-use change and forestry.
04/04/2014 · 2013 Revisions to the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule (PDF) to 40 CFR part 98, subpart C: Table C1 to Subpart CDefault CO2 Emission Factors and High Heat Values for Various Types of Fuel and Table C2 to Subpart CDefault CH4 and N2O Emission Factors for Various Types of Fuel.
Applying the Step 2 calculation to data developed by the USDA Forest Service for the Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks: 19902018 yields a result of 200 metric tons of carbon per hectare (or 81 metric tons of carbon per acre) for the carbon stock density of U.S. forests in 2018, with an annual net change in carbon stock per area in 2018 of 0.55 metric tons of carbon
14/04/2021 · Electricity Sector Emissions. Total Emissions in 2019 = 6,558 Million Metric Tons of CO2 equivalent.Percentages may not add up to due to independent rounding. * Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry in the United States is a net sink and removes approximately 12 percent of these greenhouse gas emissions, this net sink is not shown in the above diagram.
Bagasse (/ b ə ˈ ɡ æ s / bə-GAS) is the dry pulpy fibrous material that remains after crushing sugarcane or sorghum stalks to extract their juice. It is used as a biofuel for the production of heat, energy, and electricity, and in the manufacture of pulp and building materials. Agave bagasse is similar, but is the material remnants after extracting blue agave sap.
The planet is in crisis - from climate change to the pollution in our oceans and devastation of our forests. It's up to all of us to fix it. Take your first step with our environmental footprint calculator.

09/06/2020 · The government conversion factors for greenhouse gas reporting are for use by UK and international organisations to report on greenhouse gas emissions.
greenhouse gases (CO 2-equivalent) to the atmosphere each year and present a unique opportunity to implement renewable heating technologies and reduce dependency on fossil fuels. Bioliquids are liquid fuels manufactured from a renewable biological source such as virgin or used vegetable oils, woody biomass and energy crops.
The amount of greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation is so large that the benefits from lower emissions (caused by biodiesel use alone) would be negligible for hundreds of years. Biofuel produced from feedstock such as palm oil could therefore cause much higher carbon dioxide emissions than some types of fossil fuels.
